Dear Diary

Dear Diary: What I read in November 2015

This has been a super slow month for me reading wise because I have been super concentrating on writing my own book as part of NaNoWriMo. I’ll tell you more about how I got on with that soon (*spoiler alert* I didn’t win πŸ™ ) but for now here’s what I did manage to get through.

The Silkworm is the second Cormoran Strike book by Robert Galbraith AKA JK Rowling and I enjoyed it even more than the first! I don’t know if it’s because it’s based around the murder of an author and the publishing world which I have a lot of interest in but I found the whole thing intriguing from start to finish (and I suspected just about everyone except for the person whodunnit). I honestly never thought that crime novels would be my thing but I’ve been well and truly converted and would love any suggestions for other books/authors/series to read in this genre.

The 4-Hour Work Week was an audible “read” and I don’t really know what to say about it at the moment. I think I need to actually sit down and listen to it in just a couple of sittings rather than bits here and there and I do think a lot of the suggestions that Tim makes aren’t particularly relevant to my current situation but I think a lot of them are really interesting and worth pursuing for a lot of people. It would be my dream one day to work (even just a little but) less and earn the same amount of money (or more) so that I can pursue my loves such as this blog, writing in general and traveling the world at the same time.

And that is it I’m afraid.
