Dear Diary

Dear Diary: The Weekend #22

No rest for the wicked! I had two of my convention boys come to stay with me this weekend as it had been so long since we’d all hung out with each other. Looking for something cheap to do we ticked off something from my 30 by 30 list!

A lot of fun was had, I thoroughly recommend doing it. I even vlogged it!

8. Visit every street on the Monopoly board

It took us around 7 hours from start to finish but that included a stopover at the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch (full review coming soon) and me getting us a tiny bit lost on occasion!

We had pizza, garlic bread, wine and enough American candy to feed the 5000 for dinner while we just caught up on each others lives. The TV didn’t even get switched on! I love evenings like that.

The next day I wasn’t as sore as I thought I’d be having walked over 30,000 steps (thank you Garmin) so we decided to take a trip to Greenwich on the Sunday. We even stood on the Meridian Line which is something I’ve oddly never got round to doing! (Although we didn’t go into the museum as it was ridiculously overpriced.

We were happy I promise, it was just a bright day!

We then hopped on the riverbus to Embankment before stuffing our face with burgers and milkshakes Ed’s. All too soon it was time to say goodbye. I swear the worst part about convention life is having so many friends from across the UK (and world!) that you always seem to be saying goodbye to someone.

My weekend wasn’t quite over yet though as since my flatmate is still away I decided the kitchen table definitely needed to become my cosplay area so I could make some progress.

I also super quickly threw together my hipster Ariel as a test run which made me realise I really need to lose some weight before con season. The diet can wait til I get back from New York/Oslo though!

How was your weekend? Any exciting plans for this one?
