It’s been a while since I last treated myself to a blow dry so when the team at Rush got in touch and asked if I would be interested in checking out one of their branches I immediately said yes. Finding a suitable time to go on the other hand proved a bit more difficult for me! #LondonLife
In the end, I was finally able to make a booking at the brand spanking new Westbourne Grove branch on the Saturday of my birthday weekend before heading out for some drinks in the evening. When I say brand new, I mean it, the salon had only been open for one week prior to my visit but it was already super busy and buzzing!

I was VERY early but this wasn’t a problem for the team who sat me down, grabbed me some magazines, some Lindor chocolates (my absolute fave, how did they know?) and a glass of prosecco and left me to my own devices until they were ready. I was in absolutely no hurry and still basking in the relaxation of my morning in the Grange hotels spa.
My stylist Corey was new in town as he moved from Manchester to London specifically to join the new salon for their opening. He was quite possibly the nicest hairdresser I’ve ever had and put me at ease. I always find anything to do with beauty a bit difficult as I just don’t know how to explain what I want. I remember the first time I had a blow dry and I was asked how I wanted it styled and I just couldn’t comprehend that there were different ways to have your hair blow dried. So yeah.
Not content with just giving me a blow dry I was extra spoiled with one of their personalised Kérastase treatments; fusio dose. With this the stylist can mix and match any of 20 unique combinations on treatments adapted specifically for your hair type and needs. My own mixture was a combination of shine and volume (duh) which really made a difference to my hair. We all know how much I complain about how flat it is! Treatment decided I was whisked away to the sink to get my hair washed and treated as well as a cheeky little head massage. I could have quite happily had a little nap right there and then!
Finally, it was time for the dry and with Corey’s help my hair actually looked like it had some volume. I’d told him I wasn’t heading out until evening so he made a few adjustments to help the look stay longer as it was only just after lunchtime. These pictures were taken at about 6pm as I was heading out and I’m sure we can agree he did a fab job!
Rush have salons all across London (and beyond) and the Westbourne Grove branch is still offering a new salon discount of 50% when you book using code RUSH50 so what are you waiting for?
