Fun & Games

FlipOut, East Ham

Last week I was invited by Love Pop Ups London to check out the latest addition to the flipout family in East Ham – a little closer to home than the others. An old theatre turned bingo hall turned trampoline park I was here to give everything it has to offer a good testing and prove that it’s not just kids who get to have all the fun.

FlipoutE6 is HUGE taking up two massive floors. We met up as a group first of all in the cute little space themed cafe area where they served us up some nachos and drinks as fuel for the evening ahead before being asked to watch a very funny safety briefing video and then let loose like the big kids we are.

*Disclaimer: I was a guest of FlipOut in exchange for blogging about my experience. The below opinions are still my own and not influenced by this in any way.

The lower level is aimed at younger clientele with trampolines both small and large, a ninja warrior course that was WAY harder than it looked – damn you young uns! A foam pit you could bounce yourself into, trampoline basketball, battle beams where you try to knock your opponent off like in gladiators, 2 cyber towers where you have to race each other up to the top and back down again and my absolute fave a laser maze!

Upstairs is more for the brave of heart – again there is a bunch of trampolines but here you can also take on the 30 foot ninja slide, partake in a bit of rock climbing on their 12 walls and even try your hand at indoor caving. The latter was not for me and I have to admit to having a mild panic attack at thinking I wouldn’t be able to escape. It’s not for the faint-hearted nor those who suffer claustrophobia or a fear of the dark. I won’t ever be giving real caving a go but I am super proud that I did it!

The little littles aren’t forgotten either and the enchanted castle soft play area is perfect for those 3 and under so they don’t feel like they’re missing out on the fun. I’m also super impressed that they offer autism awareness sessions for those that would benefit from it.

This would be the perfect place for a birthday party or social gathering – there’s so much to do that you couldn’t ever get bored, although you might find yourself quickly out of breath if you’re as unfit as I am! Prices start from £12 per person for an hour – what are you waiting for? Jump to it!
