What’s the number one accessory you need for a London commute? For me, good headphones are at the top of the list as the noise from the Underground can be pretty loud at times. OK, OK, number two on the list after an Oyster/contactless payment card.

Last week I popped along to Sennheiser’s first ever blogger event in conjunction with Currys PC World to find out about their new Momentum 2.0 range. While the venue was lovely, the basement location of Noir W1 was every bloggers nightmare as the lighting made taking photographs a tricky task indeed so apologies for the bad pics!
Instead of a simple show and tell the Sennheiser team had teamed up with Juno records and John the Baptist to give us just that little bit extra.
First up though, those headphones. The Momentum range comes in three sizes; in ear, on ear and over ear, and three colours; black, ivory and brown. They’ve been designed with both comfort and style in mind – with a sleek classic look that will go with any outfit. What stood out for me was the fact that the cables were detachable and thus replaceable. So if you were able to break one (and given the rigorous testing they go under it’s unlikely you will) you can simply buy a new cable instead of a whole new set of headphones! And with an RRP of between £89.99 and £269.99 that’s great piece of mind.
Next up was a mini DJ masterclass by none other than John the Baptist. Sadly due to lack of time only Lissa and Milly were able to take to the decks but let me tell you, it’s much harder than it looks and a lot more work than just hitting play on a Spotify playlist!
Finally the guys from Juno Records taught us a little on the history of vinyl which I did take notes on but sadly I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I do know that sales in vinyl are on the increase and some rare ones go for a considerable amount of money.
Throughout the evening Twitter and Instagram competitions were running for the best tweet and best Instagram – being bloggers the competition was furious but my competitive streak won through and I ended up winning a pair of my very own thanks to this beautiful dubsmash:

It couldn’t have been better timing for me as my own headphones broke on the way home from holiday a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been missing listening to audiobooks on my commute! Not only that but the amazing folks at Sennheiser have gifted me a second pair for me to giveaway to you, my lovely blog readers! I’ll be doing this via Twitter very very soon, so why not get a head start and follow me.
