Holy Cupcakes Batman: Candy Cakes

CandyCakesCandy Cakes is a super cute little chain based in London that was established back in 2006 and claim to combine a soft, moist sponge with thick vibrantly coloured icing and dramatic sweet-topping. I popped in to visit them at their Covent Garden branch where you can eat in or takeaway. The seating area is very nice with the bubblegum pink chairs and quite spacious.

This meant that I also couldn’t take as many pictures as I wanted to. Not that there was a whole lot of choice left when I popped along on a Wednesday afternoon after work.

In the end I went for a carrot cake cupcake which was wrapped up in a little cellophane bag for me rather than the cute little boxes most other shops have provided me with. As such it was a little squished by the time I got round to eating it!

There weren’t too many raisins/sultanas which I hate anyway (why ruin a cake with little wrinkly things?!) so that was a plus point but overall it was nice enough just missing that something special.
